Manifestation is to attract something into your life through vision, belief and action. While manifestation is rooted in willpower and positive thinking, your thoughts, emotions and influences play a huge role in realizing what you want.
It's easy to start the process of manifestation. But the determining factor in success is consistency through daily practice.
Here's a 5-step guide to get you started on your journey.
1. Start with Your Imagination
What ever it is you want out of life, you have to imagine what that will look like once it is realized.
If it's a new home, you should imagine the external and internal elements, like the windows, the furniture, and the bathroom decor. Imagine the neighborhood, the trees lining the road, your car parked in the driveway.
If it's a new job, imagine doing something you love, something that challenges you and pays well. Imagine where it is located, what kind of people work there, and what your workspace will look like.
If you can think it, you can achieve it.
2. Rehearse the Future
Now you have an idea of the future, you need to start making it a reality through rehearsal. You can do this by simply using statements that pretend the situation has already occurred.
Think of this as if you are rehearsing for a show. The practice is the pre-cursor for the opening night. You are rehearsing as if you are performing for the audience.
This is a key aspect of the law of attraction.
“I love my new home”.
“I'm making great money now and my job is so rewarding”.
As strange as this may seem at first, rehearsing like this is a big part of breaking down the self-limiting behaviors that prevent us from manifesting.
This is because these statements influence the subconscious mind, where our deep-rooted beliefs are stored, which ultimately affect our actions and the outcomes in our lives.
You can choose specific times of the day to rehearse your statements, such as when you wake up each morning or before you go to sleep.
It helps to write the phrases down and leave a copy in a place you will be reminded to do this; perhaps your diary or night journal, or a note in your phone.
It takes practice but soon it will become a part of your everyday routine.
+ Try subliminal messaging to help the process
3. Start Visualizing
Visualizing takes imagining a step deeper and is an important part of the manifestation process.
You can treat this as a meditation session; sitting down with eyes closed, perhaps with some meditation music on.

Run through every aspect of the reality you want to create.
If it is a new relationship you want, see yourself laughing and having fun with this person, visualize places you will go together and the things you'll see. Feel the happiness as if you already own it.
You can go as deep as you want with this by exploring events and moments in time as you see them during your session.
Cultivate a palpable sense of what it feels like to have this in your life.
4. Embody Your Vision
Next to visualizing is to really feel, day in day out, how it would feel to live the life you want.
We attract external energy from our inner state of being. If you’re feeling like a failure, people will pick up on this energy and be less likely to gravitate towards you. You will be presented with fewer opportunities in life.
Even if current circumstances in your life are making you feel down, you need to try and find ways to change your mood and lift yourself above the haze. This can be done through meditation, exercise, a healthier diet and getting more sleep.
5. Surround Yourself with Positive Influences
Negativity breeds negativity. If you are surrounded by people who project negativity, with low expectations of themselves and others, you will undoubtedly be affected by this energy.
One of the most rewarding aspects of a positive mindset is that it attracts opportunity. People will gravitate to you because you’re radiating a winning self-image. They will want to be around your infectious energy.
That's not to say you should ditch your friends when they are going through a tough time, but do be aware of how people affect your outlook on life and consider how much time you spend around them.
Try to be around positive people whose energy motivates you to manifest your vision.
Some Advice
You may not manifest exactly what you want, no matter how hard you try. Life rarely works out exactly how we want it to.
So what's the point in manifestation, you might ask?
Well, in my experience, you start out wanting something in a very specific way but that vision evolves.
You will grow as a person as the journey unfolds and will be a very different person with different opinions and expectations when you arrive.
You'll look back and see that what you thought you wanted wasn't quite what was best for you. You will see how the experiences along the way shaped you into who you are now.
The likelihood is that you will end up in a much better place, both physically and spiritually. And you'll be happier for it.
Thinking more positively, setting higher standards and goals, and figuring out what you do and don't want will, by nature of these actions, lead to better outcomes.
You will also realize that there's still a long way to go.
